Datasync Consulting is an IT solutions company with specialist skills in data management, database technology, data governance and data analytics. Since 1994, Datasync has been providing high calibre data related services and mentoring across Australia and the Asia Pacific region. With the depth of skill and experience to work with the executive team, through to programming staff, Datasync can assist with the initial stages of a project in terms of IT planning and strategy, through to design and implementation. Using a strong customer relationship business model, we have the flexibility to act in a consultancy role to: add depth to the customer’s team, put together a complete development project, or assist you to move to a cloud based solution and manage the project through to delivery.

Tony Winch
Since 1994, Tony has led the Datasync team to provide both management and product direction as well as high calibre IT consulting services across Australia and Asia Pacific. Tony has been involved in the design and implementation of many solutions in various roles: Data Architect, Designer, Data Modeller, Performance Expert and Speaker. His prime responsibility is to guide customers on how to maximise the value they get from their data assets.
Tony’s interest lies in looking at leading edge projects across Datasync’s customer base. At present this work is heavily focused on assisting customers with their transition to Hybrid Cloud and SaaS based solutions, data governance and the push to cognitive analysis. This work covers various industries from large enterprises to agile start-ups, and numerous technologies including IBM Cloud Pak for Data Virtualization, Db2, IBM Watson Query and many others.
With the growing pressure from business on IT to manage data as an asset, customer expectations and regulatory change, Tony is also working with an increasing number of customers on data classifications, test data management, data activity monitoring, encryption and the implementation of effective data governance solutions with their Db2 systems.

Datasync Consulting has a varied customer base that includes a number of large corporations, software and package vendors, state and federal government organisations and large IT vendors. They range in size from start-up ventures, 100 employees businesses through to companies employing in excess of 50,000 staff and are located in major capital cities in the region including Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Hong Kong and Singapore.
